Biography
I guess you could say I am a homebody! I grew up in Brainerd, MN, did my undergraduate work at St. Cloud State University, and received my Ph.D. at the University of North Dakota. Since then I have taught a year at University of MN-Morris and I have been at Bemidji State University since 1990.
My background is in organic chemistry and my research was in polymer chemistry. My primary teaching responsibilities are General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry.
I love interacting with students so I am active in the chemistry club, advising, science fair, workshops to entice students to pursue STEM fields, costuming for high school show choir, and raising my seven children!
